Saving references
References can be saved in both Results view and Detail view by clicking the “bookmark” icon
in each respective view.
The “bookmark” icon for saved references will be colored in green
.
References are saved as a family instead of individual publications. Saved references are tied to each project individually, and when entering each project, saved references associated with the active project are automatically retrieved. This means it is not necessary to manually switch active saved reference folders or retrieve a separate set of saved references.
Navigating saved references
Saved references for a project can be accessed by clicking on the “Saved” tab. The “Saved” tab uses the same interface and functionality as Results view from which saved references can be seen and reviewed. Clicking any of the saved references takes Quartet into Detail view for the selected reference.
Inside the “Saved” tab, the “bookmark” icon may be deselected and reselected to unsave and resave individual references, however the references shown in the “Saved” tab will not update until either the browser is refreshed or the “Saved” tab is left entirely, such as by navigating to the Timeline or moving to another project.
The “Saved” tab provides the option to “Add to timeline” all the saved results as a Numbers search string. This is useful; for example when performing a Citation search on the saved results.
The “Add to timeline” feature will add all results viewable in the tab, meaning that saved results that have been unsaved from the “Saved” tab will still be added as part of the added search query unless the “Saved” tab is manually refreshed.
